WHAT CAN I RECYCLE?
Your blue bin
THIS WILL BE COLLECTED EVERY OTHER WEEK ALONG WITH YOUR BLUE BAG (ON ALTERNATE WEEKS TO YOUR BLACK BIN).
You can recycle the following in your blue wheeled bin (240L)
Mixed plastics
Including plastic bottles, tubs and plastic food trays.
Cans
Including aluminium or steel food and drink tins, cans and clean foil.
Glass
Including jars, bottles, drinking glasses and perfume bottles.
Cartons
Including milk cartons, fruit juice cartons and food cartons.
No thanks
Including nappies, fabric, paint tins, crisps, biscuits, sweet wrappers, hard plastics, plastic bags and film, polysterene, heatproof glass, windows, sheet glass and lightbulbs. Note , nor can tubes (toothhpaste, creams) be recycled as part of kerbside recycling collections. These are usually made of multiple laminated layers of plastic, aluminium, and other materials that are nearly impossible to separate in standard recycling facilities
